Plastic Words
Edited by Louisa Bailey, John Douglas Millar, David Musgrave, Luke Skrebowski, Natasha Soobramanien and Luke Williams

Plastic Words is the culmination of a series of events held at Raven Row, London in December 2014 and January 2015 that mined the contested space between contemporary literature and art, organised by John Douglas Millar, David Musgrave, Luke Skrebowski, Natasha Soobramanien and Luke Williams.

Taking this space as a starting point, the participants—including leading writers, visual and performance artists—reflected on the possible overlaps, parallels, tangents and interferences between some of today's most adventurous forms of writing and art making. The variety of formats reflected the diversity of the contributors, spanning readings, performances, panel discussions and publishing experiments.

This publication brings together transcripts from the events, excerpts and new writing from contributors including: Peter Adolphsen, Ami Clarke, David Cunningham, Arnaud Desjardin, Helen DeWitt, Brian Dillon, Chris Kraus, Janice Kerbel, Esther Leslie, Tom McCarthy, Louise O'Hare, Peter Osborne, Nick Thurston, McKenzie Wark and Eva Weinmayr.

Printed copies include an insert featuring all the titles that formed Luminous Books pop up bookshop on site for the duration of Plastic Words plus a collaboration with The Book Lovers.
