With a foreword by Ben Trickey, Cream River is a short collection of Interconnected Vignettes by Douglas W. Milliken, accompanied by a set of four songs, by the author, under his Blind Pelican moniker. This book is a glimpse into the comings and goings of people into and out of our lives and how (often poorly) we deal with that. Milliken's voice is raw and self-deprecating, while exposing an honest and uninhibited disposition. His characters drag their feet across the pages and their cities, drinking through conversations equal parts meaningful and delusional.
This book was originally published as a Downeaster Edition by PS Portland (Maine).
